It is not possible for civilization to flow backwards while there is youth in the world.

PYWA Learning Corps

PYWA Learning Corps prepares community college students and adult learners to pursue a career in youth services, a field that is experiencing a critical shortage of skilled, front-line workers. PYWA designs, develops and implements Learning Corps in partnership with community colleges in diverse geographic regions across the United States. Working with colleges, PYWA highlights the key factors of successful college-level youth work programs in order to create a model that can be replicated in other locations.

The Learning Corps model includes a variety of evidence-based workforce development strategies such as social networking, one-on-one professional mentoring, online training tools, supervised internships, showcases, and career assessments. In addition to delivering a program that can "take root" in community college settings across the country, the Learning Corps fosters ongoing innovation in the youth service field and significantly increase the pool of talented graduates and adult learners, particularly minority and displaced workers, entering the youth services profession.
